Entrance exams and requirements for dance training
Dance Emotion as a school authorized by the Dept. d’Ensenyament de Catalunya nº 8074677, gives at the end of the Dance Training, the accredited professional dance diploma.
All students who wish to opt for any of the training courses offered (regardless of their level) must attend the evaluation to determine the level at which they will be targeted.
The approximate duration of the audition will be 2h and it is recommended to arrive at least 15′ before to warm up and prepare, since it will consist of a directed class where teachers will take notes and determine the student’s aptitude to access the training.
It is advisable to wear comfortable dance clothes (tight-fitting clothes) and if possible ballet shoes or socks.
NOTE: For Predanza students it is necessary to attend the audition even if you have no previous knowledge of dance, as natural aptitude and willingness to learn will also be evaluated.
Types of entrance exams
In person
- The entrance test consists of a group class in which the fundamental subjects will be evaluated, allowing us to measure the performance of each applicant.
- Additionally, we will conduct a personal interview to better understand your profile and aspirations.
- The objective of this evaluation is to ensure that each student is assigned to the most appropriate level of the training or module he/she wishes to take.
In video
- In exceptional situations where you cannot attend the audition in person, we offer the option of taking the entrance exam online.
- This alternative gives you the opportunity to participate on an equal footing, ensuring that you don’t miss out on the opportunity to demonstrate your potential.

The purpose of the entrance test is to evaluate the student’s level in order to assign him/her to the corresponding course.
To do so, you must pay €50, which will be part of the registration fee in case of access to the course, and to secure your place.
In case of no-show, withdrawal of registration or any other external reason, the amount paid will not be refunded.

General Requirements
The student will sign a contract agreeing to the conditions of the school and commits to attend the relevant course for a minimum period of 1 year.
After the audition, students will be enrolled upon payment of the annual registration fee.
Urban Dance Formation requirements
- No previous experience required
- Compulsory to have ESO (compulsory secondary education)
Weekdays formation Requirements
- Level 1 students: Minimum 1 year experience in classical and/or contemporary dance.
- Level 2 students: Technical experience and artistic development.
Saturdays formation Requirements
- Pre-Dance students: No experience required.
- Level 1 students: Minimum 1 year experience in classical and/or contemporary dance.
Registration
To attend the entrance exam, it is necessary to register in advance and pay a fee of 50€. This amount is part of the course registration fee, which will be subtracted from the total registration fee if the student continues with the registration process. If the student does not reach the required level or if all the places are occupied, the amount paid will be refunded. However, in case of no-show, cancellation of registration or for any other reason, no refund will be made.
