We all have a dream. Iris Perez “Baby Selekta” dreams of changing the world through dance. For her, everyone has something special and a lot of potential to discover. Dance is the means to make that potential shine, to feel the music and to express what we all carry inside.

After trying many activities, including music, Iris discovered her passion for dancing at the age of thirteen. It was from that moment that she decided to fight for a dream, to be able to live and vibrate with what
she loves the most, which is dancing. Feisty, vibrant and passionate, Iris presents herself as a versatile and multidisciplinary artist.

Trained since the age of thirteen in Hip Hop, Sexy Style and Funky as well as in Modern Jazz, Classical and Contemporary, participating in shows and competitions, she later discovered that Dancehall is the style with which she vibrates the most. All the learning he gained with the other styles later served him to apply it in Dancehall, since the diversity of the styles he studied and their differences allowed him to have a characteristic, unique and characteristic quality of movement. In 2013 he discovers the artist Indee Styla who will introduce him to Dancehall and open the doors to a whole world.

At the end of 2016, Iris moves to Porto to study, where she will stay 7 months in which she will know another way of conceiving and living Dancehall and will also train with the dancer Aysha Jhanne. When he returns to Barcelona he decides to go further and join Rafa Ponferrada’s One Love Inna di Place formation, where he will learn in a structured and deep way
what is Dancehall. Beyond dance, she also learns and soaks in the culture, including the language of Jamaica and the connection between music and dance on the island.
